CONCERNING
THE AMENDMENT OF ATTACHMENT TO DECREE OF
THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
NO. 558/MPP/KEP/12/1998
ON
GENERAL PROVISIONS IN THE EXPORT SECTOR, AS HAS BEEN SEVERAL TIMES
AMENDED THE LATEST BY DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
NO. 31/MPP/KEP/1/2003

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE,

Considering:

1. that to step up the control of environmental destruction as a result of mining activities, particularly the quarrying of sea sand for exports, support environmental conservation efforts, and prevent the worse impact of mining activities on the environment, it is deemed necessary to amend Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 558/MPP/KEP/12/1998, as has been several times amended the latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 31/MPP/KEP/2/2003, as well as to re-stipulate goods whose export is regulated, supervised and prohibited;
2. that in conjunction with the above matter, it is necessary to issue a decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade;

In view of:

1. Presidential Decree No. 260/1962 on the Affirmation of Tasks and Responsibilities of the Minister of Trade in the Foreign Trade Sector;
2. Presidential Decree No. 228/M/2001 on the Formation of Mutual-Help Cabinet;
3. Presidential Decree No. 102/2001 on the Position, Tasks, Function, Authority, Organizational Structure and Work Mechanism of Ministry;
4. Presidential Decree No. 109/2001 on the Organizational Unit and Task of First Echelon Officials of Ministry;
5. Presidential Decree No. 33/2002 on the Control and Supervision of Sea Sand Quarrying Businesses;
6. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 558/MPP/KEP/12/1998 on General Provisions in the Export Sector, as has been several times amended the latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 31/MPP/KEP/1/2003;
7. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 86/MPP/KEP/3/2001 on the Organizational Structure and Work Mechanism of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Observing:

Letter of the Minister of Marine and Fishery Resources in the capacity as the Chairman of the Team for Controlling and Supervising Sea Sand Quarrying Businesses (TP4L) No. 28/SE/KA-TP4L/II/2003 dated February 21, 2003 on tie Suspension of Sea Sand Exports.

To stipulate:

THE AMENDMENT OF ATTACHMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 558/MPP/KEP/12/1998 ON GENERAL PROVISIONS IN THE EXPORT SECTOR, AS HAS BEEN SEVERAL TIMES AMENDED THE LATEST BY DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 31/MPP/KEP/1/2003.

Article 1

Attachment to Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 558/MPP/KEP/12/1998 on General Provisions in the Export Sector shall be amended by revoking Decree of the Ministry of Industry and Trade No. 31/MPP/KEP/1/2003 and stipulating goods whose export is regulated, supervised and prohibited, so that it becomes as attached thereto.

Article 2

This Decree shall take effect on the date of stipulation.

For public cognizance, this decree shall be published by placing it in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
